We support clients through healing from trauma following a singular traumatic event, or ongoing exposure to traumatic events (i.e. complex trauma). It is important to note that someone can benefit from support around processing trauma even if they do not meet criteria for a formal PTSD diagnosis.
Several of our clinicians are trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and help guide clients through understanding how their trauma has shaped their beliefs about themselves, others, and the world. By exploring these deeply held beliefs, we work together to process and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, helping clients reclaim their sense of safety, trust, and self-worth. Our approach is compassionate and empowering, supporting clients as they build resilience, gain insight, and move toward lasting healing. We also introduce grounding skills that can be helpful during particularly overwhelming moments in which traumatic memories and thoughts are activated.
Of note, there is often significant overlap between trauma and eating disorders, and understanding how one impacts the other is key in changing thought patterns and behaviors.
