Meghan Magee, M.A.

Under the clinical supervision of Mikaela Coskren, LMHC

Meghan (she/her) comes to Mantra Mental Health Counseling with a unique background spanning mental health, education, and international social justice work. She is passionate about providing trauma-informed care to help adults cultivate more authentic, connected, and fulfilling lives.

Meghan has a particular interest in working with women and LGBTQ+ individuals navigating complex trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, life transitions, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. Meghan believes that the therapeutic relationship can be a powerful catalyst for healing, growth, and self-understanding. She takes a warm, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from relational therapy, parts work informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), and a feminist, social justice perspective. She invites clients to explore all parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion while fostering greater self-awareness, self-trust, and deeper, more fulfilling connections with themselves and others. She recognizes that each person’s story is shaped by their relationships, culture, and lived experiences, and she approaches therapy through a humanistic, client-centered lens.

Before pursuing her graduate degree in counseling, Meghan spent seven years working with nonprofit organizations across East Africa. Her work in Tanzania and Rwanda fostered an appreciation for cultural humility, meaningful relationships, and the resilience of individuals and communities, values that continue to shape her work as a therapist.

Meghan treats individuals ages 18+ and provides care in our Newton Centre office, as well as via telehealth. Outside of the office, Meghan can be found singing, watching women’s basketball, on a walk, or cozying up with a good book and her cat, Margot.
