About the Role
Mantra Mental Health Counseling is seeking a clinical therapist to provide in-person services at our Newton Centre office, as well as via telehealth. This is a W-2 fee-for-service, full-time position defined as a minimum of 22 client sessions per week. We are currently looking to hire a therapist with experience working with adolescents and adults, and who has worked directly with clients with eating disorders and/or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Availability to offer client sessions at least two evenings per week (4-7pm) is required.
About the Practice
Mantra Mental Health Counseling is a small, Massachusetts-based outpatient psychotherapy practice providing telehealth and in-person services in Newton, MA. Our clinicians see clients ages 14 and older, and our specialty areas include eating disorders + disordered eating, body image issues, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma. We are passionate about providing strengths-based, weight-neutral, person-centered care, practicing acceptance and self-compassion, supporting identity development, and exploring the factors influencing each individual’s self-esteem.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs on-site (2 days/week required) and/or telehealth clinical counseling services to clients of Mantra Mental Health Counseling
- Administers therapeutic treatment using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, ERP, ACT, trauma-informed interventions) aligned with the practice’s specialties
- Collaborates with a client’s treatment team as necessary
- Completes accurate notes and documentation
- Attends and participates in required trainings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision
- Abides by HIPAA and all laws, rules, regulations, and code of ethics relevant to their degree and licensing board
Therapist Requirements
- Physically located in the state of Massachusetts
- Minimum of one year experience (either through clinical internship or post-master’s work) providing direct care to clients with eating disorders/disordered eating and/or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Experience working with adolescent clients
- Ability to provide in-person sessions at least two days per week
- Ability to provide sessions (either virtual or in-office) at least two evenings per week (i.e. 4-7pm)
